Learn to Climb and Belay is the essential course for the first climber and for beginners, the prerequisite to earning an accreditation at Allez Up.
Learn all about knot-tying, proper belaying, equipment use, safety, and some basic climbing techniques. The course includes equipment rental, accreditation, and a 6-month subscription to “Gripped,” Canada’s climbing magazine. If accreditation is granted, you can continue climbing until we close on the day of your course.
Accreditation is granted upon the successful completion of a test (at no additional charge). The student must return to Allez Up to take the accreditation test within the two weeks following his or her course. 1 two-hour session

Participation in all courses is by reservation only (24 hours advisable) and subject to signature of a Liability Waiver.
